Dr. Shelley Cathrea-Roy, CCSP, CSCS
Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Dr. Cathrea-Roy has been a Seattle resident since 2001, moving here via Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON, and Portland, OR. As a Canadian, she appreciates being able to practice close to home and as an outdoor enthusiast, she can’t think of a better place to live than the Pacific Northwest.
Dr. Cathrea-Roy became a chiropractor as a natural progression from her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology, which she completed at the University of Toronto. This training allowed her to understand how well the body would function if it was taken care of, and that everyone’s health care challenges are unique. As a result, whether you are a weekend warrior, recreational marathon runner, high level surfer, or simply want to stroll along the beach with your family, Dr. Cathrea-Roy has the clinical skills and background to personalize care for you.
Dr. Cathrea-Roy utilizes her extensive educational and clinical background to bring you a diverse range of chiropractic, rehabilitation, manual therapy, nutrition, exercise counseling and sports chiropractic techniques. She has completed an extra year of post-doctoral education to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. This gave her substantial additional training in diagnosis and rehabilitation of sport injuries. She has completed extensive post-graduate training in the treatment of patients who have been in motor vehicle accidents. She utilizes this knowledge to help you recover from the devastating effects of these injuries and understands, from a scientific perspective, that serious injuries may result from collisions with minimal to no car damage.
Headaches are one of many conditions Dr. Cathrea-Roy is an expert in treating and helping you to prevent. Dr. Cathrea-Roy also treats injuries or pain to the TMJ, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot, in addition to back and neck pain.
Dr. Cathrea-Roy is an active participant in the community, volunteering at various athletic activities throughout the year. She was the co-president of the Washington State Chiropractic Association’s Sports Council and works with them to coordinate chiropractic care at various sporting events. She has been involved in this role with the Seattle Marathon since 2002. In December 2006, she worked with Executive Women International and Page Ahead to help promote children’s literacy in local area schools. She was voted one of the top chiropractors in the country for 2004 by the Consumer Research Council of America and is a contributing editor on the patient education book “Clarifying Terms”. She was the “Volunteer of the Year” for 2005 for the Washington State Chiropractic Association and voted one of the "Best of the US" for 2007 and 2008.
Personally, she has run three marathons and continues to challenge herself athletically. Most recently, she has learned to surf and snowboard. She regularly uses all of these activities as an excuse to travel.

I grew up on the not so mean streets of Newport Beach, California. Raised on surfing and skateboarding, I learned to appreciate the body's sense of balance and symmetry. You'll never understand the body's incredible sense of proprioception until you're flying upside down and backwards alongside a skate ramp. Learning such maneuvers also brought to my attention how painful my passion for extreme sports is. With each new trick learned, a new scar, bruise or mouthful of sand gained. Not until i took up motorcycles and snowboarding did I notice the lingering effects of the "learning process" belonging to these high velocity sports.
Finally, after a wake-boarding spill, i sought out a massage therapist. This being my first massage, I did not know what to expect. I was happy to find out he was a guy roughly my same age and a fellow snowboarder. it was easy to communicate my needs and talk freely about my health issues; I was back in business in a few treatments. Not being fond of medications, I was so relieved to be functioning again without having to get on the medication merry go round.
I hope all my clients feel they can share their views on what they think is going on with their body. Together we can come up with the best plan for treatment. Whether it is a deep relaxation massage or working loose a masseter or temporalis before a TMJ adjustment with one of my favorite chiropractors, I hope to instill comfort and confidence with my clients decision in making me and Mobile Chiros their answer to better health.
Dr. Jacob Waller, CSCS
Chiropractic Physician, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Dr. Waller is a Pacific Northwest native. After growing up in Bellingham he moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. There he received his undergraduate degree in Zoology, emphasizing his studies on anatomy/physiology and genetics. After graduating in 2000 he moved to California with his new wife and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West where he was actively involved as a student tutor, helping his classmates get extra instruction in anatomy/physiology, neurology, and radiology. During his last two years at Palmer West he was also a member of the schools chapter of the SACA (Student American Chiropractic Association) sports council.
With the sports council Dr. Waller attended different sporting events providing care for the participants. At the Sea Otter Classis, a multi-event road and mountain bike event he provided both chiropractic and emergency care to the cyclists. Then for two consecutive years he worked with the sports council to offer chiropractic care to the walkers of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk. Through these and other events with the Sports Council Dr. Waller became proficient in treating injuries of the ankle and foot , hip, knee, shoulder and arm, as well as emergency and first aid scenarios.
In the final chapter of his time at Palmer West Dr. Waller completed his Residency at T.E.A.M. Clinic, one of the premier sports clinics in the California Bay area. Here Dr. Waller treated a variety of athletes including triathletes, runners, golfers, and soccer players. At T.E.A.M. Clinic Dr. Waller learned the value of incorporating rehabilitation therapy and exercises into the treatment of all of his patients whether active athletes or not. The addition of rehabilitation to normal chiropractic treatment made a huge difference in how fast his patients recovered and was the key factor in helping teach his patients how to avoid future pain.
After 5 years in California, Dr. Waller and family decided it was time to come home to the Pacific Northwest and start his own practice. Integrating everything he had learned about rehabilitation, nutrition, and exercise into his new practice was very important in order to provide the best care for his patients.
In addition to his private practice Dr. Waller also is actively involved outside of his clinic giving multiple classes and seminars on a variety of topics including how to write a training schedule for triathletes, nutrition concepts for endurance athletes, and how to use resistance training to increase athletic performance and decrease injuries.
Dr. Waller has done post-graduate study to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist allowing him to work not just with injuries, but also writing exercise and training programs for people to maintain their health and increase their physical abilities.
Dr. Waller is a member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, The Washington State Chiropractic Association Sports Council, and is actively involved in his local business community.
